The Holy Spirit. If there is a misunderstood member of the trinity, it is the Helper promised by Jesus. While I was in school, I wrote a paper on the Holy Spirit where I made the claim that many in the church have, for lack of a better term, hijacked the person and work of the Spirit. And it is still true. I hope that you'll take some time this week as we look at the person and work of the Holy Spirit and what it means for us as we look to the future of this church.
